What is Embroidery?
 
EGA (the Embroiderer's Guild of America) defines embroidery as the process of forming textile designs, embracing both traditional and contemporary needlework as an art form.   
 
Where and when Embroidery was started is unknown.  There are examples of it dating as far back as ancient Egypt.  Please see the links section for websites with more information on the history of needlework
